Homework and Grading

Homework is assigned in class and posted on the web site so you can review the details and directions, if needed.  If you are absent, you are still resposible for homework (and classwork) and should plan on completing the work within a day or 2 of your absence.

Some Assignments are Yes or No (worth 5 points) Examples: bringing in an item to class, being prepared at the start of class, completing a brief worksheet or attempting a rough draft.

Other assignments are checked and graded for C-N-Q!
Completeness, Neatness (& following directions), and Quality. (worth 10 points)  Examples include: short writing pieces, posting comments on the web page, answering questions about a text, etc.

Check  ++ = 10 points (A)

Check  +  =  8.5 points (B)

Check  =   7.5 points (C)  (Highest grade you can get if assignment is late)

Check minus = 6.5 points (D)

Not completed = 5 points (F)
